    RECURVE

When choosing the correct bow for yourself, you need to know your draw length and draw weight. To easily calculate your draw length, hold your arms outstretched from your body to either side. Then have someone measure the span from middle finger to middle finger and divide that number by 2.5. This gives you your approximate draw length.

An easy and general 'rule of thumb' for determining your bow draw weight (the strength needed to draw back the string on your bow) is as follows: For women and children, approximately 35% of your body weight - for older boys and men, approximately 40% of your body weight.
